Little Beasts started when designer, Lesley Taylor, was on one her frequent shopping sprees dragging along her nearly-one-year-old son Harry. A lot of children's clothes were either too much like scaled down versions of grown-up clothing or just too pink flowers for girls and blue trucks for boys.

So, she decided to design a line of t-shirts for children that would be fun, funky and a bit more creative. Something that would appeal to the hip-bachelor-uncle or the creative-friend-whatdoIgetforthisbabyshower. The designs are influenced by a love of pop art and pop culture. The line includes both novelty and personalized t-shirts as well as new baby gift sets. And yes, there is teensy bit of pink-for-girls and blue-for-boys.

The t-shirts have a hand finished transfer design made with commercial grade archival inks specially formatted for clothing. The inks do not run and are resistant to fading. The t-shirts are made of high quality 100% ring spun cotton in either 1x1 baby rib or jersey, depending on the style. The t-shirts are made in the USA (California) and in sweatshop free conditions.

With the launch of the website, we are also launching our "Spring into Summer" art competition for kids. The selected winner will receive a t-shirt with their design on it and a Crayola art set. Runners up will receive Little Beasts t-shirts. The deadline is June 15th, 2004. For more information click here.

PS: The name, Little Beasts, was inspired by son Harry, who although wonderful and funny, practices the art of being a little beast on a daily basis.
